Sued but Potentially Earning Millions: Binance Clarifies TST New Token Deployment Incident
BNB Chain stated on X that a wallet address was previously created by a former employee and used in a video tutorial to generate tokens. That individual is no longer employed by the company due to the incident. After leaving, they retained unauthorized access to the associated mnemonic phrase and used it to generate new private keys. BNB Chain has learned that the same address is now being independently used for a new Meme token. BNB Chain did not create, authorize, promote, or participate in the creation of this token, nor can it control the token or wallet address, both of which are unrelated to BNB Chain and not endorsed by it. BNB Chain is taking legal action against the former employee and is cooperating with relevant authorities on the matter.
According to community estimates, the dev profited over $1 million through bundled token issuance.
Sources: OpenAI May Delay IPO Until Next Year
According to sources familiar with the matter, OpenAI may postpone its IPO plans until next year. Previously, OpenAI had hoped to complete its IPO ahead of Anthropic. A week after Anthropic filed for its listing application, OpenAI also submitted its IPO filing documents, but has not yet set a specific timeline and stated that “it’s too early for an IPO,” citing the fact that certain strategic goals are easier to advance as a private company.
Additionally, multiple sources said that in recent months, some of OpenAI’s major investors have privately expressed concerns that the company is burning through cash too quickly and that revenue growth is struggling to keep pace with spending. Other investors have chosen to diversify risk by also investing in Anthropic.

According to statistics from Hong Kong law enforcement, a total of 25 investment fraud cases involving online romance were received between July 24 and 30, with total losses nearing HK$70 million. In one major online romance investment fraud case, an insurance professional in her 50s was lured by someone posing as a “car dealer” met through online dating to invest in cryptocurrency. It wasn’t until last month that the victim discovered the investment platform showed account returns exceeding 800%, but when she applied for withdrawal, it was denied. Subsequently, both the online romance interest and the so-called investment expert disappeared simultaneously. The victim ultimately confirmed she had been defrauded of over HK$26 million in total.

Binance co-founder CZ shared on X a post from user Rager about a hardware wallet failure experience. CZ stated that protecting wallet backup seed phrases is an extremely challenging task. On-chain analytics firm Glassnode stated that Bitcoin’s three-month futures basis has been yielding below the two-year U.S. Treasury yield since February of this year, and this has now persisted for several months.

Wintermute data shows that in H1 2026, institutional clients accounted for 72% of its OTC spot flow — an all-time high. Institutional capital typically reduces activity about one day after significant price rallies, while retail capital averages about three days, indicating that institutional capital tends to concentrate in fewer tokens and exit trades more quickly.
From a broader market perspective, CryptoQuant data shows that altcoin trading volume denominated in Bitcoin is approaching its lowest level since 2021. Currently, the top ten non-stablecoin altcoins account for approximately 80.5% of the market capitalization of non-Bitcoin, non-stablecoin crypto assets.
