In 2013, at 14, Coplan discovered cryptocurrency while downloading music unavailable on iTunes in a file-sharing community. The title of Bitcoin’s whitepaper, “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System,” reflects similar principles.
